Asian Garden Mall

Yay I went today but boo it was sorta disappointing. Mostly orchid and plum blossom sales outside. The inside I haven't seen in a looong time! Some of the stores moved haha. We passed by the kiddy arcade and it was full but in the doorway there were a bunch of older asian guys playing cards, and you knooow gambling was involved. There was some kind of show outside with the dragons, but I didn't know those things eat dollars >.> There was also a weird fat man haha I don't understand. Inside there was a store called little kitty, so we had to go inside. A lot of the same as the other cutesy hello kitty type stores. Sigh, I didn't find too much awesome tiger stuff..... except what's in the last picture!

Today work felt extra long for some reason. Tomorrow is my day off and I'm gonna go to Phuc Loc Tho and see if they sell more than orchids. Let's recap House of Curries from San Francisco. We went and saw Kevin on Friday, my full free day. Then we ordered much too much food for three people but it was tasty. We wonder who stays in the hotel atop House of Curries. I got the Chicken Marsala because it is generally tasty. Kevin had lamb and spinach something...he forgets the name of it. Josh had him some prawn marsala. Everyone got their extra delicious naan (Josh paid for the garlic one haha). The naan is big and oh so perfect chewy.


Oh then Josh and I both got an appetizer, samosas and pakoras respectively. I didn't post the samosas because I'm tired of picture placing when they're mean to me. The samosas have a most delicious outer skin and Josh likes that there's curry flavor inside. The pakoras tasted similar but in more bite size pieces. Then they gave us free rice to go with it!!! Josh also had to have both the Gulab Jamun and the rice pudding, but I ate one of his pancake balls. I have trouble eating rice pudding because it feels like someone spilled the rice in my dessert... Kevin brought our leftovers back to his roommate since we didn't want to carry it around. That's some kind of tasty milk tea that's free next to the desserts.

I'm back from San Fran to where it's nice and warmer. We had a scare before I left because Rachel ate something and we had no idea if it was poison or what. Turns out it came from her nose -_- . Anywho, I thought I'd post up the billiards pictures I took when we hung out with Jon and Tim at the same time.

Here's a very angled shot of Tim, I think he cheats because he won like every game <.<>< . Anyways, I'd like to draw your attention to the incredibly creepy picture in the background of Phuong's photo. That's a popsicle stick face mask that announcer is wearing hahahhaha. Josh's picture was very cooperative and went where I told it to. He and Jon had beers but this was before that. If Jon asks, I'll put his action shot up. I thought this one was better. You show 'em Jon, you show 'em.




Daniel played too! I have no idea how the other table did winner wise. But since we all topped it off with Frostbites, I have to say it was a good day. That said, formatting this was a whore and if it's like this everytime, my blogging life may be very short. OMFISH it's not just formatting. PHUONG you knew didn't you. You knew I'd post a picture of you and you voodoo'd everything you could into that stupid picture, because the first time I posted this, YOUR PICTURE DISAPPEARED.

I finally made me a somewhere to get those pictures down! And to pay attention to what the heck I'm doing. I'm in SF since I had to do my UOP interview which went awesome and kinda weird. Dr. Tom Bales was awesome for sure. Found out I got a USC invite so I gotta set up another interview >.>. I guess no pictures until I get home because I hate iPhoto like the plague. It's the year of the tiger coming up, so WHO WANTS TO LOOK FOR TIGER STUFF WITH ME IN LITTLE SAIGON. Also, take me to Tet festival, it's mah bday soon. Haha ok pictures after all. RAWR!

Oh yeah, I'm sick. I had a really quick run of symptoms though so maybe it'll end quick. One day my throat bothers me, then a day of coughy sneezy warm face. Then a day of coughy warm face. Oh what shall tomorrow bring. (hopefully it's not anymore hill climbing)
