end of the week!?

It's only wednesday but there's no more school this week because we're going on a retreat to the Stockton campus, weird I know. There's a lot of talking at us >.> but also foods and bowling and sponge dodgeball so I think it'll be fun.

Today we did mounting for out cast models of the typodont (I got 4/4 max/mand whoo). I think my mount is pretty fancy and I'll do a little more touch up to try for a 5. Turns out that not only does the Restorative teacher do evil raffles, he write evil quizzes too haha, 8 or 9/10 depending on whether or not he changes the answer to one of the questions >.>.

For sure my appetite is back. I ate thigh number two and the rest of the potatoes and I was still hungry. Had some more of the chocolate frog Chris gave me yumm. It still has part of its head, I'm not doing a very good job of finishing it.

For you Lost viewers out there, I had a weird dream where I had to teach Hurley how to assist a root canal. He was totally freaked out about it too (my uncle was doing the procedure). I think it was gonna be done on his mom... haha

Bed for me, I gotta get to school at like 7 if I want me some breakfast!

appetite has returned

I can eat again! I guess that means I'll probably gain my weight back. Today I made fried chicken thighs and potatos (half now half tomorrow). Lessons I learned, fry at like 4, 6 burns. Potatoes take a really long time, maybe microwave them first. If you put onions in the pan at the same time as the chicken, they will turn into charcoal. There was a lot of burning involved as you can see but I remembered to salt the potatoes while cooking so it all tastes alright.

I trimmed my yellowstone model today and oooowwwwwww I had the retard machine and put a lot of stress on my left wrist. I had to take a break and it hurt!!!! I gave in and finished my third model on a different machine and it went so smoothly and fast. ::shakes fist:: time to study for restorative (i missed a stupid question on the dental anatomy quiz but that's ok)

I have an appetite today! I learned that whenever I'm at my relatives I do have an appetite (must be the familiarity) but it did carry through to today (monday) and I had some leftover chicken cacciatore for dinner (yuuum) and pictured below is instant udon with tofu for protein.

I aced the Biochem test today (thought I wouldn't be able to study for it with a migraine yaaay advil) so yeah! Unfortunately it's a quizzy kind of week and I have a dental anatomy quiz tomorrow (doesn't seem too hard) and restorative on weds (no idea). Thurs. and Fri are retreat time.......here's hoping that I have people to talk to ><.

Oh yeah! I thought Rachel was getting that I lived here because I was still around this weekend, but she gave me a hug and said "for when you go home". So I asked her home where? and she said orange county >.> oi vey haha. Oh and every visit she asks me how old I am. For reference, Co hanh is 22, Uncle Eric is 24(sometimes 44) and I'm 24. Kirsten thinks I look 14. She's 11, I don't even know how that works.

YAAAAAAAY

Today was aweeesome. We got out at 1. Lunch and learn gave us pizza too so I was fed. I got really hyper so Seewan kept saying that I was crazy >.> uh oh, I think they're catching on. Then maybe I would have gone into lab, except the 2nd years had it till 5 so I left. Picked up the tailoring and then met Michael in Japan Town. It was so much fun!!!! With a million Steph type shops. We even had subpar sushi at a boat conveyor sushi haha. After that we found milk tea of all things! (well bubble milk tea) Note: due to massive not eating, I don't think my stomach recognizes much as food right now >.> geh. I was gonna post pictures but there were way too many to choose from, so head on over to picasa! They had Hana Yori Dango Dvd's!!!!! The whole first season for 15$ ;_; but it wasn't subtitled. so close yet so far.

back in business

My new charger came in today!!! I am charging as we speak.

Today in operative we started drilling on teeth. The ones i did tabletop are pretty but not perfect. The ones I did in the mannequin head on the other hand leave something to be desired. I wish we had our loupes now so that I could see without crouching (we also learned the ergonomic way to sit today). Drilling is fun, and soo much better than lecture or alginate.

I saw Daniel in my internets today!!!!!!!!!!! suuuuper happy. i have also completed my first wax up. oberve.

So it turns out that in all my non eating escapades i have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks >.> so at least something useful has come out of my weird.

here is my dinner of potstickers since tim convinced me to have not cake for dinner. i was at school until 7 today ::Saaaaad:: i've done so many impressions adn i'm still not done. my right wrist/arm is sore and achey too so i had to eat dinner with a fork and not chopsticks. weak sauce. tonight will be reading because i don't wanna stress my arm on waxing. i fear for tomorrow because today starts time of month time.... i guess sleep on the floor time will work better at night than at school (funny because when it happens at night i can't sleep). so doom house. tick tock weekend.

Pants

Dragged my butt on over to a tailor because we got out at 4 today. Pants need to be hemmed because my amount of short extrapolated with the fat of my hips says my pants go past my toes haha. I went to Nancy's tailoring and Cleaning on post and hyde so hopefully it turns out well. 10 for one pants, 15 for the wide legged. Was a kiiinda scary walk >.> I guess I know which way the tenderloin is, wont be going there at night. I can't wait to have more wardrobe ahaha. also I shall count that walking as my aerobics for the day.

As a side note I still have some of that massive cake ><>

Caravan Palace!

Yesterday Caravan Palace played for free in Stern Grove! I went to see it with Michael yaaaay. I finally got my cd too. They were fun. Then we learned that the majority of food places close on sundays in this city so we wandered looking for food until we got to Toasties and shared a tuna melt that had very good bread. Then study study study which is why I didn't write this yesterday.

Childrens

Yesterday I went to see the girls! It was a lot of fun aside from how long we were in the Target zzzzZZzz crazy childrens. Rachel is super funny because she is not understanding that I moved here, by myself, and am not on vacation and will see her often. I think next weekend I will sleep over.

We went to a really neat place called Banana Island. It has Thai food I guess. They have this weird thingy called Roti and it's all puffy and thin and balloony and it's goooood. They give you yellow coconutty curry to dip it in. Oddly enough, the best dish was the sizzling tofu and not the meat! Yumm.

Natural

Today we played with a thing called learn-a-prep and the different colors and different hardness so that it can imitate tooth tissue!

We cut out the shapes with drills and wheeeee it was fun, powder everywhere. My row instructor said I was a natural yaaaaaay. I guess at least my hand control is good. At the very least, it was way better than having lecture haha.

Biochem right after lunchtime is roooough. Today I got duped in a raffle ;_; and now I have to present a review of lecture 7 after it happens in Restorative. ::cry:: I knew he was being fishy. Anne forgotted about me today so I was after school for extra... but i got some cleaning done and fought with my locker. I wonder if it's possible to get that thing changed. I swears I will do that combination 10 times before I get it to open, literally. The last time I was so tired I had my head leaning on the locker in defeat while i twisted away.

Oh! today I learned I am an IS T/F J on that personality quiz thing. Not too far off. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! Today we drew pictures of a crown prep, and then they threw tools in our hands and said have at! use the pictures as reference and no we wont tell you when to use what. ahahahahaha. I didn't get very far, my lab space isn't properly stocked yet so i had to get to my locker, plus i didn't want to have a nub for a tooth. This is what it ought to look like for those not in the know. whee.

Sunny

Today I am much better! So glad because it was frustrating. I have to reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad and i don't want to do it. I don't feel like I have anytime. Class starts at 8 and then I'm not home till like 5:30 then dinner and then i'm tired @.@ Sorry Josh, I haven't had a moment to watch anything yet. I hear it's good to play movies at home while you do your wax up which i will try. Right now though all I can do is read. The get together was nice. I got full really fast, no appetite yet. Unfortunately I don't watch much tv so part of the talks I was lost, but my big sis will visit me tomorrow and help me organize my locker some more. Grind time.

Joyce took me shopping with her at costco to cheer me up...or at least get me out of my very peopleless room. It helped and though I am not quite finished, it's gettin better.

which is a lie, but i am really really sad. first day was ok if not a little sleep inducing. the picture guys fixed my hair before he took the picture. it's the first time i had to come home to an empty room and i don't know what to do to make it better. I'll start on hw soon to get into the habit...

My feet

A large portion of shopping happened today and now I have sticker shock. Also I have no idea where my camera charger is so no room pictures. However, it looks like I'll be set up pretty well and I made some ground beef, kimchi, egg quesadillas. Remember friends, to always season each step properly, the beef kinda tasted like nothing booo. Tonight pineapple upside down cake on the menu!

Arrived!

I had one hour of sleep and counting ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Orientation was so long, i thought i was going to konk out. Then they fed us half a sandwich which was delicious but also half. Our kits are gigantic and took 2 hours to put away ew. my room isn't too far off the size of my last room and has a nice window view. And my apartment is chockfull of cooking utensils buaahha. Tomorrow I get a third computer to add to the roster @.@ haha they gave an explicit no bitorrent warning cuz it's on the school network and they know it's you. Sf is really cold right now, except at like 3 when the sun came out. I need to find food now.

T- 5 or so hours. I think I've done most of my packing.... I'm going to have a heart attack
On the bright side shoppping went great and I have some pants and shoes!!!

Which of course refers to the airbender version. Just saw the movie and oh my gosh it's so bad. Really bad. We're all crying because the bending was so pretty and the backgrounds and the costuuuuumes. But the acting it poor, there are no relationships between the character, except for maybe Uncle EE-roh, and the painful Katara narrations. A;so very strange how they decided to change the pronunciations for everything. One of my favorite lines "he's bending fire out of nothing!" bahaha seriously though wait for the dvd or cheap theatre and have a good laugh...or cry depending on how you're inclined.
